1st April, 2016 (flanniversary tribute)

by Brendan Strong

When the world has you low
and there seems to be no plan
a bit of Flann’s your only man.

If you’re knocked off the path
by cyclists wobbling past
a bit of Flann’s your only man.

And the philosophy of codology
has you scratching your head for the folly
a bit of Flann’s your only man.

Because inequality means equality to them that’s in –
they tell you that’s how democracy really wins
a bit of Flann’s your only man.

We’re all in the trees,
Screaming at the seas:
a bit of Flann’s your only man.
